I’ve fallen into a ritual of eating a quick lunch then going for a walk with my camera. Sometimes, I have an idea of what I want to capture, and sometimes the image just jumps out at me as I’m walking around. The latter is what happened today. I had already taken a number of shots that I wasn’t extremely happy with and was heading back to work when I passed this bicycle chained up with a couple of coffee cups stacked in the basket. I thought that this would be a great shot due to the stacked cups and the general scene.
In working with the image in Lightroom, I tried two approaches to my post processing. One was to leave the colour as is, the second was to desaturate everything but the coffee cups. In your opinion, which one is better?
